Morning from the hotel window opens up to a freshly harvested paddy field. Four years since last visit, this town feels remarkably changed in its spatial arrangement, including its name. The establishment is busy appeasing the tribes here with the name change. A smooth wide concrete highway gets visitors to this town faster. What was a tribal heartland is now a district connected, linked and tied to the state’s dreams of progress. Need more time here to see changes in people’s lives.
